Our story
Kien Giang Bakery sits in Echo Park, in the heart of Los Angeles, minutes from Chinatown and about thirty miles north of Little Saigon. Families have come here for birthday cakes, wedding cakes and quinceañera cakes for more than four decades, and every year the shop fills with people from across the city for mooncakes and Lunar New Year.
The cake specialists work on site, so a design is a conversation, not a form. The seasonal specialties are made the traditional way: bánh tét and bánh chưng wrapped and cooked by hand, mooncakes made fresh on the premises in more than forty varieties.
